Call Out For: LOU Trust – Committee – Board Members

As per Chief and Council direction, Long Plain First Nation is announcing a Call Out for:

  1. LOSS of — USE TRUST – 2 tribal members for 3 Year Terms. Appointed By the Chief & Council.
    The LOU Trustees are responsible to monitor the Trust Investment on behalf of the Beneficiary, Long Plain First Nation.
  1. LAND AUTHORITY BOARD – 3 members with 3 Year Terms. Appointed by the Chief & Council.
    The Land Authority Board is the administrative body established to manage lands under the Long Plain First Nation Code
  1. AD HOC COMMITTEE for REFERENDUM VOTE – 3 members. Appointed by Chief & Council.
    The Ad Hoc Committee is responsible to develop/amend policies for a Referendum Vote in the fall 2018 for:
    LPFN Dog By-Law; LPFN Funeral Policy; Ban Drug Dealers; Curfew By-Law

A signatory to Treaty 1, 1871 (Adhesion Treaty of June 20, 1876) Long Plain First Nation is an Ojibway and Dakota community in the central plains region of Manitoba.


The Long Plain population is over 4,500 and is comprised of 3 reserves of which 2 are urban. The urban reserves are situated along the city limits of Portage la Prairie and in the City of Winnipeg.
