Notice of Social Services Client Renewal & New Applicants Deadline

LONG PLAIN SOCIAL SERVICES
CLIENT RENEWALS & NEW APPLICANTS

ALL clients must renew their file before Wednesday, March 27, 2019 and client intake will be based on Treaty Numbers – the schedule is provided below:

March 4-8, 2019: Treaty# 0-2000
March 11-15, 2019: Treaty# 2001-3500
March 18-26, 2019: Treaty# 3501+; Other Bands and Non-Status Clients
March 27 & 28, 2019: Will not be processing applicants/renewals. Office closed – staff  preparing for April 1, 2019 issuance date.

Tenancy Agreements MUST be signed before the Social Services office processes client renewals and new applicants. Social Services clients that are not the Head of Household, must ensure the HOH signs a Tenancy Agreement before they are processed.

Clients and new applicants that miss their scheduled week will not be processed until April 2, 2019 – NO EXCEPTIONS.

A signatory to Treaty 1, 1871 (Adhesion Treaty of June 20, 1876) Long Plain First Nation is an Ojibway and Dakota community in the central plains region of Manitoba.

 

The Long Plain population is over 4,500 and is comprised of 3 reserves of which 2 are urban. The urban reserves are situated along the city limits of Portage la Prairie and in the City of Winnipeg.
