Medical Driver
Indefinite Term Position-Subject to 24-hour Notice of Termination

The Long Plain Non-Insured Health Benefits is seeking to fill the position of Medical Driver. This is a Term Position, subject to 24 hours’ notice of termination. Please keep in mind that the job requires flexible hours and may exceed eight hours per day.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Must possess a valid Class 4 driver’s license
• Must submit a photocopy of current driver’s license every six months
• Must submit a driver’s abstract (obtainable from Motor Vehicle Branch)
• Must provide a complete medical/physical examination from a physician upon request
• Hours are dependent on client’s appointment schedules
• Must work well under pressure.
• Must provide a Criminal Record check and Child Abuse Registry check
• If First Aid Certificate is not current, one must be obtained within the first three months of employment

Closing Date: March 12, 2019
Interview Date: March 14, 2019
Start Date: March 18, 2019

A signatory to Treaty 1, 1871 (Adhesion Treaty of June 20, 1876) Long Plain First Nation is an Ojibway and Dakota community in the central plains region of Manitoba.


The Long Plain population is over 4,500 and is comprised of 3 reserves of which 2 are urban. The urban reserves are situated along the city limits of Portage la Prairie and in the City of Winnipeg.
