Community News, COVID-19|

This is to inform the Community Members, effective January 4, 2021, the community curfew hours will be from 10:00 PM till 6:00 AM.  Another change that the check-point security will be implementing is not allowing non community members into the community.  If you do not have a physical address in the main community, you will not be allowed in the community.  The only exceptions are the essential workers who work for the community.  These changes are due to the rising COVID-19 cases in the community.

Any essential services such as electricians, plumbers, delivery vehicles, will be allowed following prior approval from the Program Managers or the Pandemic Coordinator.

I would like to remind the community members that if you are experiencing any symptoms for COVID -19, please make arrangements with the nurse at the Health Center to get tested.

These changes will be re-evaluated Monday, January 11, 2021.

I would like to encourage everybody to refrain from any unnecessary travel by staying home.  We would like to beat this and we can do it together.  If you have any questions or concerns, please call me at 204-870-2737.

Isaias Harper,
Pandemic Coordinator,
Long Plain First Nation
